We are looking for an experienced, smart and friendly Azure Identity Cloud Engineer to join our growing IAM professional services Team. You should be passionate about learning and working with a wide variety of technologies in the IT industry, with a strong focus on Identity and Access Management in the Microsoft Ecosystem.

Modern Methodologies has several projects in the pipeline focused around on-premises Active Directory, Azure Identity (Microsoft Entra), Privileged Access Management and Modern Device Management. This role offers the opportunity to work on various projects across industries such as Federal & State Government, Banking, Finance and Health. The successful candidate will be deployed to clients in either a skills augmentation capacity or part of one of our project’s delivery teams.

As a part of our team, you will work closely with our Identity and Security Architects, Senior Software Engineers and Solutions Architect to grow and develop your skills and be provided with opportunities to both expand your certifications and to gain hands on learning experiences with new cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the administration and configuration of Entra ID / Azure AD Identity & Access Management existing and greenfield IAM projects

• Ensure end-to-end security compliance and use of best practices in our project rollouts

• Diagnose and resolve complex service issues across infrastructure and applications using SIEM tools or Audit Logs

• Provide expert input on Identity Governance, IAM integrations, Device Management and IAM platform stability

• Liaise with stakeholders and suppliers, fostering a collaborative mindset

• Engage in continuous learning to expand skills in new toolsets

Requirements:

• Due to the nature of some of our clients you will need to hold an Australian Citizenship and be eligible or hold a current Australian Baseline Clearance (or higher)

• Hybrid working with minimum 3 days a week in our office.

Your Toolkit:

• 2-5+ years of experience in IT solution implementation, with a focus on cloud technologies.

• Proven proficiency in using IDAM technologies ( Microsoft Azure Active Directory/Entra ID, Azure AD B2C, Beyond Trust or similar platforms)

• Proven Proficiency in deploying and managing IAM/IGA tooling and processes.

• Proficiency in IAM automation using PowerShell or C# or Python. (Highly desirable)

• A passion for modern cloud technologies, especially Azure, Office 365, Beyond Trust.

• Stellar interpersonal skills—your ability to communicate effectively is key.

• Proven time management and workload management skills.

• Proven ability to take ownership of projects and deliver critical workloads, meeting deadlines.

• Troubleshooting expertise in Azure technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, networking or related field.

• Microsoft Certifications in M365, Azure Identity, or Azure Infrastructure

• Beyond Trust Certifications

Salary package is negotiable based on the candidate and their experience.
